So I've officially hit the "miserable" mark of the pregnancy. And evidently this is very obvious to others, and/or I look like I'm about to "pop" because every single customer that comes into the showroom comments on or asks about my pregnancy and when I'm due. Random people in stores ask me the same questions, or kindly comment on how miserable I look (thanks!). All of this has caused me to reflect on some of the things that I'm looking forward to, after baby girl comes. Other than having a beautiful baby girl, of course. As if that's not enough to look forward to ;)
* Bending over or sitting down without a loud grunt
* Walking without waddling
* Not feeling like I just ran a marathon after merely going up/down a few steps
* Not having to pee every five minutes
* Enjoying my showers (instead of dreading the bending over to shave my legs and dry off)
* Picking up my furry baby to cuddle (or move her out of my spot on the bed when she takes it over)
* Getting in and out of the recliner with ease
* Not starving every 1-2 hours (although I hear that might take awhile since nursing does that too)
* Having enough stamina to get things done around the house without stopping to sit down and rest
* Traveling comfortably
* Getting in and out of vehicles with ease..who knew it would be such a chore to lift my leg enough to get in?
* Getting my brain back! Maybe? Pregnancy-brain makes me sound like such a moron! Although I've heard mommy-brain isn't much better :P
* Not having complete strangers constantly ask me when I'm due, what am I having, is this my first, etc. (I never thought that would bother me, and it really doesn't, it just gets old)
* Getting dressed with ease
* Getting out of comfy chairs without needing a hand
Well, I think you get the picture! But of course, what I'm looking forward to the most is having a sweet baby girl to love! I am so excited!! I've decided that (although I know it's best for them to be in there as close to 40 weeks as possible) I am totally fine with her coming any time after the 12th! That's when we turn 37 weeks (considered full term), and that's also the day we meet with the maternity care coordinator at the hospital. Something about filling out forms while in active labor doesn't sound appealing, so I really hope we get a chance to get that done before labor starts!
At the same time, this is becoming all too real, which of course makes me a little nervous! We had our 36 week check up on Wednesday, and my OBGYN determined that I was 1cm dilated and 50% effaced! Baby girl was head-down and in proper position, but then this morning she decided to do gymnastics in my belly and has turned herself around (after being head down for WEEKS). So hopefully she decides to turn herself back around soon... :)
I don't know what happened last week, but evidently it was too hectic for me to get around to taking 35 week pics :/ But here are a few 36 week pictures...
Perhaps soon I will get around to posting some pics of the baby's room! :)
Happy Laber and delivery
